Posted October 09, 2018 05:04:00 The Chicago Police Department is trying to figure out how it was that a newborn was left in the cold for nearly three hours in an apartment in an unincorporated area of Chicago on Monday, September 20.
The newborn was taken to the hospital for a temperature of about 27 degrees, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The infant had been delivered by CCSO paramedics.
A CCSOS spokesman told the Tribune that the department has asked for the infant’s name to be released.
He said the department will not release the infant.
The Tribune reported that police found a bottle of medication inside the apartment.
A CCSOs spokesperson told the Chicago Sun-Times that no arrests have been made.CPD’s medical examiner’s office is investigating.
